College station Brazos River boat launch

I go to A&M and have been fishing the navasota river for the past couple of weeks with minimal success. So I want to try fishing on the brazos, but I can't find anywhere close to here to launch. Does anybody know of a public launch around here or have any tips on how to catch catfish in these rivers. Thanks in Advance

It's been a minute, but I grew up fishing the Brazos and Little River outside of Hearne and Calvert area. Seems like there used to be a launch off 190 or 979. I caught a lot of fish out of those rivers but most were on throw lines with livers and cut bait.

Justin Whitworth was going to make a launch on his property off 60 until he discovered it was completely covered with indian artifacts. The closest place you can launch is to the north in Robertson County

What type of boat do you have? And what type of truck? There are places to put in but they all take effort. It's easier when the water is up and the fishing is better then too. PM me, im not spilling everything on a public forum that will pop up in google searches.

I have launched canoes and kayaks at the Hwy 21 bridge, You can get a jon boat with a smaller engine launched there with some effort and a winch.

We used to just get to the ledge and let our kayaks go over, then hook pull them back up by hand with rope when we got back. Looks for bridges going over feeder creeks....they are usually a little bit more forgiving on the slopes.

You need to hook up with someone that is familiar with the river fishing in your location. Not that you aren’t capable 😁 but any useful information could be beneficial? Good luck.
