One of my Covert Code Black went bad and for warranty they sent me two of these WC32A cameras in its place. Not good reviews on the WC's out on youtube. No one has a video on the 32A because they are new but the other WCs dont seem to be liked at all.

We ran 12-15 Covert Code Black and Black Ops cameras for 7-8 years with great success. Changed to Tactacam 3 years ago due to the cameras being about 1/2 the cost and the pic quality being better. About a year before we made the change we tried two of the WC 20 or WC 32 line (sorry don't recall which) from Covert and they were awful, to the point that we could hardly even get them to send a picture. I'm sure they are better now but our limited experience with them definitely wasn't good.

I have three. I ran them on my areas we see turkeys this spring and in my backyard to watch our foxes. They have been great. They don't have a solar system so you have to run AAs. Good news is they last 2-3 months on AAs. One thing I didn;t like was you can't call for a picture on them. Other than that they take great pics and have run just fine.
On edit they might be WC 30-AsLast edited by Smart; 09-21-2024, 08:09 PM.

I have 2. Had one up but it got terrible reception (40%), where my regular Code Black had about 60%.
I took it down and put up an older Covert (with 2 antennas) and that one has 80% service and sends pics almost immediately.
I plan on putting them up for driveway duty but if they don’t have service and pics are delayed, kind of defeats the purpose of an extra set of eyes out.
Picture quality was great, and trigger speed is as quick as I’d expect anything else to be. Maybe even to fast. (Getting only the front of a vehicle instead of whole vehicle).

I have 6 of the WC30s. The downside is no supported solars. Ive tried a few and for whatever reason, one of my 30s works fine with a solar i found on amazon but it doesnt work with any other of my 30s. Plugging in a solar turns off the camera. Covert says a solar is forthcoming...guess we'll see. I get between 1-3 months on a set of AAs depending on how many pics taken of course. They get as good of reception as my code blacks (which are discontinued for the newer WC32's) get. Dont get worried about the battery life indicator. I use rechargeables and when i put in theyll show in the 90%. About 10 pics later they are in the 40s and over the next month or so they will stay in the 30% range for a while

also have 2 of the "old model" WC30 and I don't notice a difference in quality
The A vs V is just the network they're on so WC30-A is att and V is verizon just get what works best for your area
