Don’t cross right now. Family I know that owns ranch across border reached out and fled their ranch. Said it has gotten very Western in last few weeks. Lots of shootouts.

They had closed the schools down there last week. I crossed there a few years back and it was nice and quiet, it is a shame the violence has spread way out there.

That’s what happened when you cut the head off the snake. It’s getting western right now. My last trip down that way, heard machine gun fire through out the night.

I thought it had settled and was considering going. Im
noy sure if he saw it or was told but said they were dragging a body down the road - he said that means a turf war is ramping up. I wish all this BS would settle as I’d love for my kids to experience a real dove hunt and rodeo. I pray the good people living there and one day go back to normal living

This is just right across the river. From what I saw they arrested a cartel leader walking down FM 190 near Ft. Leaton last year and it has caused a big power struggle, but I can't really say how factual that is. I love that area and I have crossed into OJ.

I just saw an article that mentioned 26 dead in OJ over the last few weeks. Supposedly, there is fighting between el cartel La Línea and a group that is part of the Sinaloa Cartel.

Stay safe out there folks. No need to go across into this type of hot spot.
