At HEB ( assuming most are.the same) there is a brand in a box just like Purnells. It is even better than Purnells and Purnells was my go to for many years. I have a box in my work fridge but can't think of rhe name

Maekers (In Shiner) is not the only place that makes it around here, but I really like the Jalapeno variety.

It is “store bought”. You walk into the store & buy it. Stores around here have it - example- Brookshire Brothers, HEB, Wal Mart & others. Maybe they just don’t have it at “your” store.

These are some of the stores that carry it.

Good to know, learn something new everyday. Never heard of the stuff before.

The Highest Quality Meats, Prepared With Our Patented Blend Of Seasonings, And Smoked Over A Pure Hickory Fire

Learned about these folks while our daughter was at Auburn. Now they are the sausage of the SEC. Quite a few carriers of the brand now hitting our market. Being from deep south Louisiana I can be very picky but this is pretty dang good.

I like the Purnells Hot also, I like the convenience of the boxed already to thro in the pan.

I tried the Pernell’s hot in the tube, I’ll stick with Owen’s hot.

I tried Purnell’s medium yesterday for the first time and again today.

It was good and I would gladly eat it all the time but I lean more towards Owens. I certainly don’t have any complaints with the Purnell’s.

Tried Punell’s hot this morning. My wife and I both still prefer Jimmy Dean.
Owen’s hot is next on the list.

Yep learned about that years ago from a buddy that hunts Alabama every year with family. It's good stuff too.
