    Alfalfa Bale Feeders

I own a small Track of Land close to Rock Springs - Edwards County. I normally take 10 - 15 Hogs a year and a Deer on Good Years .
    I run 2 - 3 corn feeders.

But I constructed an Alfalfa Deer feeder in a remote area frequented by Deer. .. knowing hogs don't go after Alfalfa as much as Corn. The Deer haven't touched it in over a Month.
Anyone else have a simular situation ..

If you have gotten rain similar to what we have received little further west, there’s probably enough natural forage for them. Put alfalfa out as well couple months ago but we got a couple good storms and it’s green.

Yeah, they won’t use as much when it’s green. Plus, if they have not had it before, it’ll take them a bit to figure out that’s it’s good eats.

Im in Sonora and it’s very green at my place. They are barely touching my corn and protein right now, but will walk past those to graze on the alfalfa.
