The wife took our 2 year old daughter, Lena in today for her wellness check. That turned into an emergency Cardiologist check. When she gets upset and cries she tends to hold her breath and she turns a little on the blue side. She's done it since the day she was born and not one doctor has said anything about it until today. She was getting her shot and of course started crying, well the doctor noticed how blue she got and checked her heart rate. It went from a normal resting heart rate for a 2 year old to below 20 bpm. The pediatritian called the Cardiologist and he got us in pretty quick. She now has to wear a heart monitor for 30 days to see what her heart does and how often. If it stays normal she should be fine, but of course there is always that what if scenario that pops up in your mind. Please keep her in your prayers.
