18650 Batteries - The good, bad and ugly

I have some old 18650 batteries of various brands. Been a long time since I've bought any.

Got selected for Laguna Atascosa and figured I Needed to buy a new set of batteries. So...What brands /mah have been reliable and bright.

Looking for reliability and endurance more than anything. Also, don't want to get a cheap brand that burns up on me.

I have several small headlamps for around the lease work, but figured I'd get new batteries for my 18650 headlamps in the event I need to cut up a bull after dark.

Appreciate the advice/recommendations.

Grew up and graduated from Center Point!

There are cheaper but I haven’t found better than Streamlight. Definitely last the longest and that counts when you are in the middle of someplace like Laguna.

Tenergy is a solid brand. I’ve tested a lot of 18650 and some are just flat dangerous.

Yes dangerous and in can blow up and start a lithium fire. Streamlight batteries have built in technology that shorts them out when they get hot to prevent fire opportunities.

thus the reason for my post. My batteries are old, well very old and various brands. Figured there was a TBH'er in the know about them. TBH comes through again.
