I know, I’m sorry. I get a little carried away at times.
To be honest, my comments really weren’t directed at you. They harken back to a couple of experiences I’ve had with snotty, taciturn guides who try to “bully” their client into a successful kill or catch; more for their own selfish reasons completely overlooking the enjoyment of the experience for the client.
On one such trip, I had a guide who was upset that he was called in to work on his day off because another guide failed to show up. I understand why he was pisssed but, as a client, I should never have had a clue. (Also, he threw the first rainbow trout I ever caught, on the first fly-fishing trip I ever took, the first time I’d ever been on the North Platte, right back into the river. I was livid.)
On another trip, we were fly-fishing with another couple who brought their high-school-age daughter with them. We were wade fishing in Colorado and the guide assigned to this (admittedly timid) young girl was practically hostile because she couldn’t catch a fish. There’s no need to go into much detail, but I will tell you he left crying after we’d had a talk. (I’m not bragging, he really did cry.)
So, again, I apologize. My comments were directed at these two guides in absentia rather than you.
Been in camps where guys passed on shots and never got another then complained about the outfit and hunt.
Guided a couple of folks that didn't shoot when they should of. It gets frustrating.
Thisladybhunts, come on up for another fishing trip, we have tons of rainbows to catch, and you can keep your limit.

I’m going to find a way to take you up on that! And just so you know, I always take credit for my own failings and won’t blame you if I don’t catch any fish. Deal?
I sold out and shot one with a rifle. Just got back to camp. Very happy with him, we didn't measure him yet, but definitely isn't the one we saw Sunday!
We ended up running from clear cut to clear cut calling and scanning. No reponses, we climbed up a hill and my guide saw one at a treeline on the far side of a clearcut. He set the sticks up quick and I threw the rifle on them and guessed the range at 200yds through the fog and light rain. He went down in his tracks and the guide freaked out again. Then he checked the range at 243yds.

Well done. Congrats. As long as you are happy. You can always go back and chase with the bow again. Heck, maybe I'll join you. Congrats again
