    Odd Bug

    Lived here 22 years and this is a new one. Anybody recognize it?

      Looks like a fig eater beetle or fruit beetle.

        Those are **** beetles here. Every where my dogs drop a deuce, those suckers move it and tear it up.

          Not sure what they’re called—“stink bug” comes to mind—but we see them fairly regularly in Lexington.

              I have a pear tree that is loaded. Every pear that gets a soft spot in it is quickly covered completely in them.

                I'm not sure I ever saw a tird roller like that...does look familiar.

                  See those in the Houston area for 50 years. Typically in the vegetable garden wreaking havoc. We always called them Japanese beetles.

                    This yr is the first time I've ever seen them too. Seems like they are everywhere in the yard now.
