Mule Deer Survey

They're considering extending the archery mule deer season. I think that's a great idea and said so in the survey. But in the comments I suggested a better idea would be a late archery mule deer season in January so we could hunt the rut. Maybe if enough people make the same suggestion, they'll actually consider it.

I completed the survey. I basically made the same recommendation. Since the Trans Pecos mule deer rut doesn't really kick off until around Christmas I recommended they start an archery only season sometime after Christmas.

Just go MLD so you can hunt the rut.

Biggesf problem is too many folks shoot baby bucks. And too many of them. Way different game than whitetails.

I wish our place would! They dont get shot up here! And 9-10 YO bucks running around that don't make AR. It's ridiculous

I am in favor of a 18" minimum inside spread with at least 4 points on 1 side on MD. I have not seen very many mature bucks that do not make this AR.
