I don’t think that’s what this thread wanted you to never forget.

What a glorious day. 👏👏👏 Never forget.

Thankyou OP for reminding us that our freedom is fragile and becomes more so everyday. May peace and comfort overcome those that lost loved ones on that tragic day and still live with that loss today.

Sometimes the same people post things that just make you wonder what goes on in their head.

I was in 5th grade and we watched coverage until noon, then they canceled the rest of the day. We had some very patriotic teachers back then and they told all of us that it would affect the rest of our lives.

Whether you believe in the conspiracy theories or not, the solid fact remains that a whole lot of Americans lost their lives that day at the hands of bad guys. We should never forget that this happened, and we should never forget just how fragile freedom actually is.

I will never forget and this day makes my blood boil.
I am a nice peaceful person and truly try to maintain that.
Today however makes me want to not be.

I am close to 9/11 in a way that I don't want to discuss, it is too hard for me.

It’s one thing to pick up a gun and go into a battle that you’ve been trained for, it’s quite another to die in a fiery inferno for your religious beliefs. These types of people need to strike fear in our hearts because the never give up. I’m afraid that there are terrorist cells in our country right now, that came in through “the secure border” of the current administration and are biding their time for another strike. Who knows what it will be ?

In my mind, that’s one of the main reasons we should never forget 9/11, because if we aren’t diligent, it could happen again in a different way. Jihad literally means “the struggle against the infidels”. We are the infidels, and we are the targets of jihad. Never forget !

Ah, but we are already forgetting. We must be the torchbearers that tell the true story because kids in many schools - not all - are being taught that it was our fault and OBL was right do do what he did.

I will most definitely tell the history to my grandkids. USA!

So so true! We were a country bound together in grief and promised resilience. I personally will never forget. I promise to teach my grand kids what happened.

LTC Karen Wagner, an Army officer I worked with in San Antonio was transferred to DC. She was in the Pentagon that morning. Wagner High School in San Antonio is named for her sacrifice.

Watching the footage on the history channel gives me chills just remembering that day. This should be required in schools every year in history class starting in the 9th grade.
