Moving fill dirt from your property

In Texas do we need a permit of some sort to have fill dirt taken from our property. I was thinking of building a pond on my farm but wondered if I would need a mining permit if I was able to sell the dirt? Anyone with experience on this?

    Thanks

No problem moving it or selling it in my neck of the woods. Of course you have to pay taxes on income. LOL

Inside the city limits, maybe. outside of the city limits, probably not.

No, just may have to have a permit to haul on county roads if you do the hauling. If you are just selling it, the dirt belongs to them as soon as the truck is loaded. I don’t know how close you are to any houses, but be aware that some jealous neighbor can call the agency that monitors air quality and they can give you a hard time about dust. Been there.

I used some of my removed dirt to form a levee to send runoff water to the tank.

I would be trying to relocate the good topsoil on my place.
Leveling yard, garden, fill areas, raised beds, etc

Walmart just paid my neighbor to dig out a construction site and haul the dirt away to his place . Now he is selling it and charging someone a hauling charge!

You may need a permit for excavation or grading, particularly if it involves a significant amount of dirt or affects drainage and land use. They can provide you with all the necessary information regarding permits and regulations. On a different note, I use https://ukwritings.com/assignment-service whenever I need assistance with my writing tasks. Just as it's important to consult professionals for construction-related matters, seeking help from experts in writing is also a smart move.
