Had one in my feeder for 2 yrs in Boerne, Tx.
Battery strength has never waivered & it runs year round.

Thanks that is what I am hoping for. Did you have a solar panel on it ?

There are 3 ways to charge our 12v 9ah battery: The first one is using lithium iron phosphate charger. The second one is using Solar Panel.. The third one is using Generator. We recommend you use lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) charger to charge the battery so that it can be charged to its full capacity. If you do not have LiFePO4 charger, the lead-acid battery chargers (AGM, wet, gel) will also work fine.

I have a 12V charger for lower amp batteries that also says wotks for led acid wet batteries and lithium for the initial charge.

A typical lead acid/AGM charger will bring the voltage up to around 13.0-13.5 volts. This is fine for those batteries that have a useable voltage range of 12.0-13.0 volts for longevity. A standard lithium battery however has a useable range of 14.6 volts and down to 10-11 volts on the low end. So if you are charging a lithium battery to 13.5 volts, you are not using the battery’s full capacity. That is part of the difference between a lithium charger and a standard charger.
