Anything to do in Bossier City?

Headed to Bossier City in a couple weeks with my Wife, Brother, and SIL. Is there anything to do besides sit around at the casino and gamble there?

All i do is attempt to play golf and eat. That being said, if you like golf then Olde Oakes is a good decent priced track.
Cajun fare to eat is The Blind Tiger. Gumbo and etouffee are really great.

We used to go to the horse races at Louisiana Downs, a lot more fun than casinos.

I was born there. I recommend the maternity ward. 10/10. I did have sense enough to move to Germany after 7 weeks, though.

I second the Blind Tiger. I eat there every time I pass through, and I keep enjoying it just as much as the first time.

The Bass Pro in Bossier is one of the nicer ones I’ve been too…next door to Margariraville. There is a newer area in old downtown Bossier called East Bank that has several restaurants, etc. and usually has local bands on the weekends.

Barksdale Air Base has an outside airplane museum that is pretty cool.

I grew up in Bossier City and spent most of my adult life in the Shreveport/Bossier area. Still have family there and get back to the area often....going this weekend for my dad's 86th birthday.

It has changed a lot...I would stay on the Bossier side of the river after dark with the exception of the South Youree drive area in Shreveport - it is still nice.

As mentioned above, Herby K's Shrimp buster is "famous" and the Blind Tiger has been good for a long time. A couple more "local" places are Fertitta's for the muffaletta and Strawn's for breakfast or lunch.

You are not far from Caddo lake and if you have never been on a lake like that it is worth booking a fishing or boating trip. My bro-in-law and nephew have been tearing up the bass on Caddo and they aren't good fisherman

I forgot about Strawns! They have good strawberry pie! Caddo or Bistineau would be worth checking out. Cool lakes! I learned how to fish on Bistineau, used to hang out at Camp Joy some on the weekends and run yo-yo's.
