At night, with a light. Then let me know how it works for you.

If you don't feed alfalfa regularly it can alarm them.... or so I have found. I put some alfalfa out a few times at the ranch and it really just spooked them. I figure if you put it out all the time, yes they get used to it and end up loving it. But go up for one weekend and throw out a bail, and your results may not be so great.

shoot forward. their vitals sit further forward that whitetails......

hunt edges of fields. axis are grazers not a browser like deer.

If their at 35 yds and you draw then the blackbuck jump and scare everything in a 25 sq. mile range and you let down then the axis buck feeds a little closer aim at 30 not 35...
There may not be a void but I can guarantee there is a "no-kill zone" up there...

                    Don't ask how I know...

I shot an axis doe last spring at 18 yds quartering away and she dropped and turned back toward me so fast the arrow entered in front of opposing leg and came out behind same leg. That means she turned and was basically looking at me by the time my arrow made 18 yards...
Fastest/quickest thing I have ever seen.
