“Avocado smear”. That’s a new one for me.

I see you are experimenting again with on your husband with those “pretty picturesque” dinners. Feed that man some real food chicken fried steak, mash potatoes with gravy and biscuits.

LOL same here i eat at the drover and sleep at the springhill suites right there on the left. Honestly its a super nice hotel and i like the parking for larger trucks its way easier to jump in and out of.

Delicious! We make those for breakfast every so often.

It was for me, too. When I read the menu description to my husband, he got “that look” on his face (the one that tells you he doesn’t suffer fools—or foolishness—gladly) then said, “So, you mean guacamole?”

            He cracks me up.

Hah! He said something similar to me, too!

Had their Texas Tostadas—which were fabulous!—so I came home and tried to make them. They turned great and have earned a place in the rotation of family favorites.

A crispy tortilla, spread with a black bean purée, topped with chorizo, Cotija cheese, an avocado smear (fancy word for guacamole, I think), and topped with a Sunny Side Up egg.

                  Spicy. Savory. Delicious.
                  That looks amazing

I did some chick food tonight as well. Bacon ranch chicken casserole. I have to admit, yours looks better but I could do without the black bean puree. I'm just not much for black beans

Chick food? What makes something chick food? ((chuckling))

hear you on the black beans. I used not to like them either. But then I figured out they need a lot of seasoning to taste good—far more than pinto beans even—and once I got that down, I began to enjoy them more. My husband really loves them.

In my defense, I’ve tried to do this—a couple of years ago in Houston, last year in SA, and, most recently, in FW—however, you were busy selling each time and far be it for me to interrupt the stream of revenue that drives our system of capitalism and commerce. Next time, I promise!
Thanks. I'd make time for you!
