Fletching arrow costs?

I had 24 in my archery shop way back in the day and bought another for personal use after I sold the shop. I probably should buy another, but at age 71, not sure how much longer I will be doing this bowhunting bit. Them suckers have gotten expensive nowdays!

I purchased mine off of eBay for $47 shipped and it was like brand new ! The seller had just closed his business and also had 24 of them. I should have purchased a dozen

Maybe I have been doing my own for so long that I am out of touch with prices but if the going rate is $3-6 plus components to refletch an arrow maybe I need to start refletching on the side

It cost me less than $1 to put 3 new vanes on one of mine

$8 bucks an arrow when I furnish everything! Yes I left them but I will not do it again. If I need to fletch some, I will get me a Bitz and do it myself or drive to Lampassas to Hoffy's. Glad it was only 6!

I can’t tell you how many MANY dozens I have done for free for friends in the last 35 years..
I have an old HOYT jig that puts 3 on at a time. I’ve ran thousands through it over the years.

Good push. I forgot about those things since chooting and fletching feathers for a longbow. Im an ez fletcher.

I had 6 shafts feather fletched @4/per at local shop not long ago and half I had return to have redone bc some cocks went left and the hens went right and assorted such.

IMO if you’re picky enough (like me) that you know what fletcher you want used to do the job then no shop anywhere is going to fletch them to your satisfaction. Use the money it cost to have a dozen arrows fletched and buy you a new Bitz and do it yourself.

I am going to pick up my arrows from “Nocked and Loaded” on Tuesday, but it will be the last time they get any business from me. Another shop in Georgetown was not good in fletching arrows either. Guess Hoffy’s will get a visit from me the bext time I need sone arrows fletched or beed some work on my bow.
I guess owning a shop in the 90’s has spoiled me on what good service and decent prices should be!
