    Aluminum Boat Question

Look i already feel like an idiot so feel free to tell me i am one. This is my 3rd boat to own, first one had a CMC tilt/trim plate on it with break away. Second was a gatortail.

The one i just bought is a 1548 Weldbilt with a 1993 tohatsu Mega 25 HP. It sits on an "on the fly" jackplate and the motor itself has tilt/trim. Now i figured it would also have a break away if you were to just hit a stump or something? I guess motors that have tilt/trim on the actual motor don't?

Any advice? run it as is and just blow my lower unit off or..?

There 10,000 outboards running around in Texas with just t&t. Know your waters and run it like it is.

Just as many idiots on the water as on the road--safety doesn't mean much to them and their boat/car/others pay the price.
