Knife Blanks

Where’s the best place to buy a quality chef knife blank? I’m looking for cut, shaped and heat treated just add a handle and maybe sharpen it. I found some nice scales I bought years ago, and figure I can have an awesome knife for 1/4 the cost of full custom.

Several years ago when I was assembling knives from kits, I used Jantz Supply

Ebay, I buy a lot from their site. Just look up . I did some mods to this ones shape.

Jantz would be my go-to for a hardened blank ready for a handle. USA Knifemaker would be good also.

I'd probably go with one of the VG10 core chef knife blanks from Jantz over the Alabama Damascus blank. That one looks like it is going to be thick based on the height of the bevels in the pic.
