    Squirrels!

How to eliminate squirrels? I live in the city and have close neighbors that love feeding the tree rats. My issue is the tree rats are eating my house, shed, and jeep wiring harness. I have put out bait but worry about my dogs getting into the bait. I have set traps but some are still around.

I have would like to get a pellet gun but want something quiet as to not alert the neighbors. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Live trap and trash can full of water. I grew up in a small pecan orchard, and 60 years ago we buried them under the pecan trees...

pellet gun with the silencer on it, put out bait and wait. Another buddy made and electrocution device with 2 pie pans and food hooked to power supply and when they touched both, poof....they completed the circuit, said fun to sit beer and watch too.....inner metal pan insulated from outside pan with neutral hooked to one and hot hooked to the other one either of which can be the middle pan with the food. PETA doesn't endorse this method.

I do too just need to know the quietest one out there.

Gamo keep coming up in my searches but I cannot find out how quiet they actually are.

Pellet gun is very effective for your exact scenario. Just saying.

I have a 5mm Sheridan Blue Streak and 3 pumps and its a dead rat—doesn’t sound loud at all to me, but then my ears are approaching 80 yrs old.

Hit em with a water hose. They hate that. Been there.

He's still gotta kill a couple squirrels first so the neighbors know why they got the hose again

I've got 2 gamos, one of them is a whisper, and it's pretty loud. Any pellet driven faster than the speed is sound will make noise. Whether enough to wake your neighbors?????

Rumor has it that if you put this bait out for rats along your fence and screwed on trees, all off a sudden, a fews weeks later and the squirrels have left the neighborhood.

Adult air rifles should be fine. Be sure they drop in your yard. Be sure all oil and lubricants are not present when shooting squirrels. Don’t want any extra power from dieseling your pellet. It will go BANG for the world to hear. .177 maybe best as my .22 will go thru a wooden fence.

                            Damm!
I used to wish I had a few more at the place in Pleasanton.
I don't want the destruction, though!
My son & his cousin sure had fun with one that they trapped when we lived in Franklin:🤣

"We let the neighbors shoot the squirrels, or we get the hose again".
                              Doesn't really rhyme. 🤣
