I'm sure many a Great American on the TBH.com has already read this book. I'm late to the party. Great book about a true American hero. WW1 era back woods boy from Tennessee, tries to avoid WW1 as a conscientious objector, gets denied, goes on to fight the war as a good soldier. The man winds up capturing 132 Germans, by wit and grit. Awesome tale of faith, courage, and bravery. Mixed in is a lot of insight into life and humanity. It'll get your blood pumping, make you think, and make you proud to be an American. GREAT read.
