Being rich is overrated, just ask Elvis. I wouldn’t mind just a taste though. Dip my beak, so to speak.

I grew up in Taylor - was an awesome town with conservative views and hard working people. Samsung is changing the entire community. The problem I see is that Taylor does not have the infrastructure in place to handle this massive and huge influx of people - there is no stopping it now however

Yea it’s truly mind boggling to see the amount of development out there.

              Yep.
              Reminds me of Pearland TX
30 years ago there was literally nothing out on 288 except cattle and farm land. Then it all started.
Population went from 26,000 to almost 150,000 in a blink.

The state will build the infrastructure with all the tax abatement that Samsung won’t have to pay ……. Actually, obviously I have no idea what kind of deal was struck, but that’s usually the case when somebody comes in and provides lots of jobs.

That's an old video. That plant is already open and fully operational.

My dad bought a Chevy pickup in Taylor Texas before retiring from Bergstrom AFB in the early 70s. I went to Taylor Texas in the 90's and not much had changed. Went to a great BBQ place that looked like a old bar where the meat was put on butcher paper.....had a great time with clients. Now my brother is telling me the place has exploded as many of of you guys are saying. Kinda cool to be able to place life markers along the way and see it change for better or worse.............such is life!

With the fire department hazmat team i had to tour that plant a couple months ago. I'll tell you someone renting golf carts and Rangers to the construction companies there is the fella making money. Parking for most folks is a good ways away from the construction. Crazy how big it is
