    Where to go?

I told my fiance I would take her on a weekend get away with tax money if I got any back. Turns out, I have about 500 to spend on a Saturday to Sunday overnight stay type small vacation.

What places/attractions would the GS recommend for the budget/time restraints I set? Driving distance isn't a huge issue, just wanting somewhere to relax.

We're going to Fredericksburg in a couple of weekends for less than $500. We're staying at a nice B & B in the country with a hot tub, fireplace, and food.

Take her to Natchitoches Louisiana. It is beautiful and you can get a really nice B&B plus dinners for that price for sure. San Antonio Riverwalk is good too

Awesome area. We have stayed at a place called Aunt Violet's down there that was a B&B. Really neat cabins that are in town. Thanks for the suggestion.

Gruene Mansion Inn in Gruene, TX Right next door to Gruene Hall you can sit outside at a beergarden and listen to the live music without having to pay for the cover to get into the Hall. Right on river, best two days I've spent with the wife in a while. She loved it and it was very relaxing.

Just a two-step outside your door to experience all of Gruene, Tx. Located in the middle of the Historic Gruene District, stay at the Gruene Mansion Inn to catch live entertainment at Gruene Hall, float the Guadalupe River, enjoy shopping downtown Gr
