    High School Players getting paid?

Will your kid be good enough to get paid?

Find out how the state that you live in dictates if you can monetize from your name, image and likeness.

No, I'm not in favor of this.

I'm pretty sure that Texas has a STATE LAW restricting NIL, regardless of what the UIL says. When Abbot signed a law allowing college athletes to participate in NIL, it specifically excluded HS athletes. At least thats the way I remember it.

Don’t see where the NIL money is going to come
from in high school level. Most school districts are strapped for funds as it is.

there is a State Law prohibiting it here in Texas

They already pay kid to play football in high schools around me. They call it moving expenses, laundry money, etc.

Back in the day, the good players always seemed to have brand new cars every year.

Don't the rodeo kids get prize money, why not allow other sports players to profit if they do?

                  Maybe at non-school sanctioned events?

The high school rodeos I rode in only gave away buckles like getting a trophy at a track meet.

Rodeo is not a UIL sport. According to UIL rules a student can not receive money in a UIL event and still compete in that UIL event. If a student does receive money like in a golf tournament they can’t technically play UIL golf.
