Pine is 20-25 per linear foot and will rot quicker
cedar is 30-50 per foot and will last much longer

wit’s Beryl there will end up with a demand exceeding supply so costs will go up.

Materials have come way down but contractors are all trying to pocket the savings.

My business partner just got a quote this week for his place in Splendora. It was $25/ft for treated pine. I don't remember what cedar was.

I started a fence company in Boerne, mostly do ranch fences, but I did 1 privacy, labor wise I charged around $12/ft. Most privacy fence around here is 30-40/ft.

we start around $8/ft for standard ranch fence here too for longer runs, higher per foot for the smaller jobs

I think if I ever decide to ditch my office job I will do decks and fences. I enjoy it. We did our 8 ft board on board ourselves and stained it too. Nice that we had sold galvanized posts we could reuse. Rent a cordless nailer and it goes quick.
