    IQ Retina Lock Bow Sight

I just replaced my sight with with the IQ bowsight. My center shot is awesome. However, my verticle has been inconsistant which i think is caused by the lack of peep sight.

Does anyone have any advice? i would hate to give up on this sight. It really does help with the torch.

I shoot the same sight. I use a peep and have no problems. I love it and wouldn't trade it for anything.

Wish i had advice but have no experience with the sight and use a truglo. Does the iQ not require a peep? I saw the commercial for it and it looked like it could help with form.

well right now i'm not using a peep and my groups are awesome! however, and i'm positive that it may be my inconsistant anchor point, but i somtimes get a group that is perfect up and down 3 arrows 2 inches apart. which is still ok, but will take me a while to find and tune my perfect anchor.

it really is an awesome site, like i said i really think it's my anchor. i wasn't able to shoot the majority of last year but in a short time i am very confident in shooting, just need the fine tune.

it could even be that my shoulder is tiring considering i didn't shoot much last year...

yeah what worries me about the peep is having to look passed it to see the bubble... initially when i put the site on, i kept the peep on. but i noticed i was working to see the bubble. ofcourse my impatientness led me to taking the peep off.

i'm getting better with it, i'm just hoping it's a correction that i can make.

I don't use a peep, I have a kisser button that I put in the corner of my mouth
for a consistent anchor point. My son has a knot served in that he touches to
his nose for an anchor point. Sounds like you are real close, find something that fits you to get a reliable anchor point.

These may be a dumb questions but here goes. I put this sight on a new Diamond Outlaw that I just got. I have gotten the black dot centered horizontally but I cannot get it to center vertically (it stays on the left edge). Since I am working with a new bow I am not as sure about my anchor point as I was with my previous bow. Do I need to adjust the 3rd axis to center the black dot vertically (right and left)? Also, I do have a peep installed, should I remove that to allow this sight to work to it's best? Thanks for any help.

I use a hind sight without a peep, which is similar. You do need a kisser button or
something to make sure you are at the same anchor point on each shot. Just tilting your
head some will give you the vertical string you describe. You are tilting your head when trying to align the IQ.

Do you think that is a reaction to trying to get the peep lined up with the sight, like with my old sight? I have a kisser button that was just installed but have only shot one time with it on. I'll try without tilting my head and see if that helps any. Another dumb question, what is the 3rd axis adjustment for?

Patented RetinaLock™ technology, helps users identify bow torque or inconsistent anchor points that lead to lack of accuracy beyond 40 yards.

wow thanks gentleman, i'll definitely use the advice given... sorry Free2Hunt, been working... there is a 3rd axis and it does have to be lined up. if you have a bowvise, set your bow on it like your are checking your center shot. look at the bubble and check the left/right then up/down. adjust as you see fit.

when you draw your bow back look for the bubble. if you don't see it, then you move make your adjustments. ofcourse like my problem may be is not having a consistant anchor point... as far as the peep, i took mine off and i'm sure you don't need it if you find that consistant anchor.
