Roofing prices have been driven up by insurance carriers year after year paying the pimps. Now losing money paying out hail claims, deductible are increasing 2-5% making most claims a wash for the homeowner. I see a possible adjustment coming in the near future for the roofing industry with rising deductibles.
A bundle of 30yr dimensional shingle averages $30 or $90 per square (100sf). Add nails, valley tin, ice/water shield, and drip edge averages $130 a square. Labor for under 10 on 12 is around $42 in our area (paying the man on the roof). Tear off runs $50 square totaling $225 per square hard cost. Insurance is paying $450 per from what I'm hearing. A typical 7-8 pitch 1800sf house with garage and porches can average 45 square at $20k. Depending on the deductible, there's some skin in the game for the storm chasers.

That’s exactly how I found these guys https://saratogaroofingco.com/. last time, and I’m confident I made the right choice.
