Shingle roof replacement cost

Hi just wondering what an honest cost is the replace a shingle roof on a two storey house. I think the total house sq ft is 2400 so wouldn't that make the roof approximately 1700 sg ft? Looking for cash price not insurance plus deductible price

I was just told 10-13k for cash on an 1800 sq ft single story home. Luckily i got insurance to cover it, but it was an old roof and depreciated quite a bit.

Roofers are making a killing. I been paying $4000-$4500 for 1200-1300 sqft house. But that's no middle men. Cash from my hand to the guy swinging the hammer.

Thanks guys for the info. I'm in the Conroe area and I really don't want to go through insurance as I feel they might over charge and deductibles are apparently based on percentage of home value, go figure
