In need of a new bird hunting bag

Mostly for dove hunting. I’ve been researching quite a bit lately, but want to see what YOU like and why. Not sure if I want one with fixed bags or one that the bags can slide around some. Thanks in advance

Filson unfailing goods are made with the best materials and craftsmanship. Building a legacy of quality and durability since 1897.

buy once, cry once. Indestructible, I’ve had mine for ~20 years now and used to spend more than 30 days in the dove field a year.

I've got two of these. One stays at the house one stays at the lease. like the shooting bag above its indestructible, I just like the vest better.

Buy Filson's Tin Cloth Game Bag. Made of water-repellent, abrasion-resistant fabric, and cut for ease of movement and breathability.

I think I read that Filson is not made in USA anymore and not as good as before?

I have the same tin cloth belt bag as above 20 years and still going. I love it. If I was chasing quail or pheasant I would go with the vest version but the bag is great for dove

I have had the same king ranch bag for 30 years
i don't hunt much anymore but it seems indestructible.
Same style as the first one above. Gift. Remember how tight I am.

King Ranch is a destination for hunting and outdoor adventure, so we need our gear to be safe and accessible. Constructed with a large detachable center pocket for easy cleaning and two smaller pockets on either side for shells and other supplies, this bag ensures you have everything you need at your fingertips. For a belt style bag I would go with orvis.
Set out on your next hunt with our lightweight Hybrid Dove and Clays Belt at the ready.

For a vest style bag I would look at one of the Final Rise vests.

With the way you shoot, just get you a wal-mart sack

I like the vest style bag. Easier to get relief from all the barley pops consumed while dove hunting. I’ve had a Filson vest style for a long time.

I’m not all that particular about bird bags (although I don’t do well with the vest). I’ve never had one that slides along the belt, that would make me nots as I like things firmly fixed where their supposed to be.

I’ll tell you about a feature that one of my bags has. It seems like such an innocuous feature but it’s definitely the reason I reach for this bag first, and that is that each of the three bags is attached to the belt by three heavy-duty (and rust proof, so far). Ate the end of the hunt, when we gather around the tail gate, all I have to do is detach the bags and turn them upside down to empty them. It also makes washing them out far more simple. All quick and painless.
