We saw it last week. I enjoyed it overall, but it was definitely just an introduction to I don't even know how many story lines. I'm guessing they'll all kinda come together in the 2nd episode. It looked like all the various unrelated people in the stories were all gonna end up in Horizon at the same time. So maybe it'll start coming together in the next one. I'll watch the next one. This one definitely wasn't anything super special though. It wasn't bad, just not great.

The thing that bugged me the most, was in one scene when some bad guy brothers found the woman that killed their dad in the opening scene. They were in a cabin, and on the wall of the cabin was a deer mount. It was an axis buck. I'm pretty sure they didn't have axis in Wyoming in the 1800s. My wife and friends didn't even realize there was a deer on the wall in that scene, much less that it was an axis. But I did, and it was obviously a city slicker set designer mistake.

Well, it looks we weren’t far from wrong on our critique. Costner announced today that he has cancelled production of the series. I was looking forward to the next episodes in hopes that he would connect the dots with all those side scenes that made little sense. I guess not. Looks like he has made an expensive mistake with Horizon. I hate that it didn’t work out for him. I love the characters he portrays. He’s a great actor but a sorry writer. He needs to stick with Sheridan. I’m wondering now if he will go back to Yellowstone. I actually hope he does.

Well I guess if they are cancelling the remaining production there is no sense in even watching the first one now

Was really hoping for a good movie/series but looks like someone else will have to come up with one

It was everything I thought it wouldn’t be. Absolutely terrible.

The theatrical release set for August was canceled, not production, to give people more time to see the first installment. Or at least that's what I've read they are claiming.

I'm pretty sure he's past the point of no return for Yellowstone with the 2nd half of season 5 airing this fall and I have a feeling Sheridan killed off John Dutton for the last and final episodes of Yellowstone. However, it is Hollywood so who really knows.

Yellowstone - grown men watching soap opera at best.

You take that back!! It's called serial television and could never...never...be confused with a soap opera!

What a bummer. ..and Disney didn't have anything to do with it.

I wish I had read this before I went. My girlfriend slept thru the last 1/2 of the movie, I would have joined her if I wasn't afraid of snoring to loud.

After reading this, IF I do watch it will be for free. Not paying to see something after being warned. LOL

Saw it tonight. I can say without any doubt, that was one of the worst movies ever filmed. Trash!!! Stick to Yellowstone and Sheridan’s writing.
