    YouTube saved me $$$$ again

How often has YouTube saved your A S S. YouTube has saved me $$$$ lots of timers. Just finished repairing our clothes dryer this morning for 20 bucks, when it would have cost between 250 and 300 for repairmen to make a rural call and fix it. Replaced a thermal fuse in our oven just 2 months ago, saving us more $$$$. Our washing machine was acting funny a while back and after a few videos it was good as new and no problems ever since. And lastly, I bypassed the auto stop/start function on our 2023 Honda CRV for less than 30 bucks last month. I have many more but, I digress.

Yep saved me money on a dryer too. It has been a few years ago so I don't remember what it was exactly. The guy in the video said there were 3 parts that could cause the issue. He used an ohm meter to diag the exact problem part. I got on amazon and all 3 parts together was like $19. I figured while I have it torn apart I would replace all of them. Worked like a charm.

Youtube can also help with things you already know how to do. Might be able to find a faster or easier way to do it.

With washer, dryer, dishwasher, random around the house stuff, and automotive I can't even add up how much I've saved over the years. On the flip side there have been times where I've found a how to video and realized it is way beyond what I want to tackle. Then I call in the pro.

YouTube university has saved me countless times. Wife’s engine developed a tick. Common issue. Watched probably 12 videos on it from Poland. Knew the parts I’d need, special tools, every size socket or bit, the torque spec…. Everything all from watching videos. When I finally got home to do the work you would probably swear I had done it before because I was so familiar with the steps.

Vehicle maintenance, appliance repair, fishing reel tear down rebuild…. It’s all on there.

Youtube helped me change the starter on my 2010 Titan last year. Still cost me 6 hrs and over $400 but probably would'a been more if done by a mechanic. Used to be simple to do minor stuff on a vehicle, but no more.
Got new brake pads for the same truck and according to UT, the process is the same as old erdisc brakes. Was concerned, with the anti-skid and stuff there would be differences but apparently the same
Also saves me time and money on simple repairs around the house. One of the best sites on the Net, IMO

Yeah it seems like nowadays no matter how random, obscure or specific your repair problem is, some dude out there has posted a video on how to fix it. It has saved me money countless times and as mentioned above, it has also saved me from getting in over my head on something I thought would be simple until I watched the video on it.

Saved us $1,000's over the past couple years with fixes and builds! My most recent fix was exactly what the OP had.....one of the pully's in my dryer went out. But I know my limits, and decided against the DYI single prop 1 person airplane build.

many, many times on my vehicles. I have also used it to work on my ATV's and boat motors. I have been putting off repairing the water damage to the RV from vids on you tube, but last week the wife said she wants one with no rot, so as soon as we get another one that will be my next project.

If I ever meet fordtechmakuloco in person, he’s getting a free lunch for his entire family due to all the money I’ve saved watching his repair videos.
