    I'm so embarrassed.

Stopped off at the grocery store this evening and picked up a few things. Up ahead I see this dude pushing his cart by and he goes out of sight and then backs up and says "Hey man, how's it going?" I said "Not too bad dude. How are you?" He talked to me for probably close to ten minutes about how his life was going and this and that. He genuinely seemed glad to see me so I didn't want to be rude and ask where I knew him from. I'd never seen this guy a day in my life to my recollection. I was trying to figure out where I knew him from. At the end of the conversation he said "Good to see you again Chris."......my name ain't Chris. This dude had no idea who he was talking to either. He still thinks he saw an old friend. I was already past a whole discussion. I didn't have the heart to tell him I ain't who he thinks I am. I don't get embarrassed too often but today I definitely did.

He's gonna get on Facebook later today and realize he had a conversation with a complete stranger.

I can assure you that was for sure the most confused I've ever been. I really thought to myself "I should know this guy from somewhere."

Wait until you get my age Rattler, you’ll meet people that you really should know and you can’t put a name to the face. Five minutes after you part company you’ll remember their name…….or not.

I just had the opposite happen with someone I’ve known almost 30 years and haven’t seen in almost 20 since high school graduation.

I spoke to him and shook hands. He had no clue who I was. Greatest run in ever in my eyes. Ain’t spoke since graduation no need to play catch up now.

At this point I'm still confused. Either he does know me and got the name wrong or later on today he's gonna wonder "If that's not Chris, who is he?"

I'll say this, super nice guy. I don't think I've met him up until this point in my life but he was sure friendly.

Sometimes you just gotta play it off. I get called Justin a lot. No harm, no foul. I figure I could be called worse so Justin......or Chris is fine. LOL

So, you don't know, or remember, who you were talking with? That's OK. Cause it's gonna get worse the older you get.

Please excuse me for a second while I check the first post to see who started this thread.

I'm still a little confused. I'm racking my brain trying to think if I've ever met this dude before. I think we're gonna have to wait this out. If I see the dude again and can piece it together of how he knows me or where he knows me from I'll report back. But at this point in time, I really don't think I know this man. He didn't look familiar to me at all.

That’s a funny story Justin, Chris, Austin or what ever you’re calling yourself these days. Should’ve asked the dude if he had that C-note that he borrowed 20 years ago.🤣🤣
