Dang it! This one got me! I, as many on here, are so blessed that our kiddos are as eat up with the hunting bug as we are. My son has been going hunting With me since he was in diapers, he turns 15 in August. Time has gone by way way too fast. These next 3-4 years are gonna fly by and then he will be off on his own and it makes me sad just thinking about it.

Heck mine went off and started a hunting business/show. “The Element”. Part of the MeatEater brand. Hunting together is ancient history.

Good song and allot of truth in the words spoken. We definitely have to turn them loose physically but our rewards are seeing them living their own lives independently. And oh the precious grandkids our two girls have given us.
Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there.

Yes Sir! What a tune. You better make memories while you can. My daughter killed her first pig while sitting in my lap at 8 yrs old. She is now 19 and a sophomore at U. Arkansas. My son was about the same age when he killed his first pig and later harvested one of the nicest 10's on the property. He is now 21 and a senior at A&M. As stated above those days and opportunities go by very quickly. Take it all in and save those photos. You too will be
"Huntin' By Yourself" again, before you know it.

I don’t look forward to that first hunt alone. It’ll be a good while I hope, but they were babies just yesterday it seems. Both started killing pigs when they were 4 and I can’t get out the door without one or both of them anymore, not that I would try. My biggest joy in life is them being successful hunters at their age.

I am in a good mood; I refuse to listen to it now.

I enjoy watching them those guys. I remember that first episode I think it was on his home 30 acres, hunting a killed a giant, had to support them after watching.

Also that old buck he killed on your KS lease I believe it was…hunting down in the river bottom. That was a sweet hunt.

A couple days late, but darnit if this didn't somehow spill water all over my keyboard here at work!

I've only got the one kid, my daughter, so we got to spend a LOT of time together in the blind over the years. That very first time she wanted to sit in the blind by herself (at 17) almost tore me up. But neither one of us really "hunted" that morning, we spent most of our time texting back and forth and missing each others company. It's gotten better sitting by myself since then (she'll be 26 next month), but she always, ALWAYS sits at least once with me during a season! I can't ask for more.
