Wanted: Pronghorn semi guided/private diy hunt

I’m wanting to do a semi-guided or private land DIY hunt. Preferably New Mexico or the panhandle. I’m mainly wanting the tag and access. I’m not worried about lodging, meals, full bar, etc. I can camp, bring my own food, and I don’t drink. I don’t need a Boone and Crockett buck but I do want it mounted so at least a buck worthy of a mount. Most of what I’ve found online is fully outfitted. Can anybody poibt me in the right direction. I appreciate it, thanks!

I went with Pronghorn Hunt Co. a couple of years ago, I had a good experience and they offer non guided, semi-guided and fully guided. Hunted around Logan New Mexico.

My only issue would be not shooting a small one. I’ve seen a bunch and can tell some difference but I would think judging a “good” critter is tough. Good luck.

What you are looking for you need to look more into Wyoming. Tags in TX and NM are very limited especially for out of state hunters and land owners know what they got. Also, the hard winter of 23 killed a lot of pronghorn from Colorado to Montana and those tag numbers have been reduced quite a bit so the pressure on NM and TX goes to the highest bidder. We bought some landowner tags last year in NM, no food or lodging and $3500 each. 100% success and good bucks but was hard to find and a lot of word of mouth and tracking down folks. This year the land owner went down to 2 tags from 4 last year.

We find out June 18th if we drew Antelope tags for Wy or not. We are hunting with the Werner Ranch.$3k not including the license and tag fees.

They are already fully booked into 2025.

Just wondering, how do they book a year out if people don’t know if they will draw a tag? Is it a tentative booking?

The ranch is in an area with good draw odds for those with low PPs. Most folks book based on their PP numbers, odds.
They refund your deposit if you do not draw.
