Persnickety comments on using the search function

I have to agree with thread. In the old format, I could find any thread that I wanted to find whether it was by key words or by username. This new format, just not working for me. I even put in the exact wording of a thread I was looking for. Never came up. Ended up searching thru about 20+ pages till I found it.
Maybe, just maybe somebody here will take the time and post a step by step on the use of the search function for us dummies. So those that know, don’t be a Zero. Be a Hero!!!

So while we are on the subject of persnickety and hunting......Does being persnickety make one a better hunter? I mean I've read on here if I sit in the crook of a tree and spread out corn, I am not a hunter.....but if I hunt in the same tree without spreading any corn or over a corn field, I am a REAL hunter.
