I drove to Marshall from Carthage on Friday. The river was back inside the banks. It rained that evening. Drove back to Marshall the next morning. River was out of its banks. Really rained that evening but I drove back home. Our place is on the Sabine River just north of Carthage. I’m gonna dread the day I can get down there cause I know there will be so many trees down that I won’t be able to get them all cut up. It used to be that we would get a flood about every 7 to 8 years. Now it seems we get flooded out 2 or 3 times every year. Sabine River Authority changed something downstream.

I live just below Lake Tawakoni near the river. I think the lake is 2.5’ high at this point, that translates into a lot of water! These daily storms are getting very tiresome and dangerous! One of our county commissioners was killed yesterday by a tree that crushed his car. Very sad situation! Surely we will soon be over this crazy rain pattern.

I guess your feeders are under water at this time.

Send the rain out west. I drove from Rocksprings to Brackettville last week and I have never seen such a drought stricken area and I was born in the Drought of the 50's. The spring at Ft. Clark has not run in two years and a local told me the 58 mile stretch between Brackettville and Rocksprings had not seen a significant rain in over two years. Keep these folks in your prayers as this is very serious.

Probably gonna be that way a while

Duck Creek has been out for several days. I am sure they are dumping water off of Fork too which will hold the Sabine up
