No cell service when hunting. WeBoost?

We bought some land and are working towards getting stands set up. We have feeders running and have cell cameras up. I've added on a 10ft conduit with an external antenna to get the cell cameras to work on ATT, but honestly, my phone doesn't work there AT ALL until I'm back at the cabin and it connects to the Starlink Wifi. While being away from it all sounds great, it leaves me having to deal with fires from work when I get back instead of dealing with them in real-time, when they are small fires.

I'm considering a WeBoost installed on the mule for being out and about, and I could park the mule close enough to the stand to have it connect while hunting, but I worry about it not connecting unless super close and also draining the battery.

Am I missing an obvious answer? (I can't switch cell service providers as it's a work supplied phone and they pay the bill.)

I’ve got a cell booster in my truck but the kicker is my phone has to be clamped in the device in the truck to work.

What I'd give to NOT have cell service while at the lease.

We don’t have cellular service at the ranch , so we don’t even try to have latest updates in technology in game cameras
the old SIM card stuff is good enough,
I am spending some money on a new garmin inreach to be able to communicate with a satellite communications service

Do your cell cameras have Verizon service? Might try that if so. You’d only be able to access your pics once back at cabin though.

Do you think I could take that hardware and move it to the stand and hook it up to a 12V with a solar panel? Reminds me of the old bag phone days......

From what I understand about Weboost is. You need to have service to begin with in order for the Weboost to work. It does not create a signal. It boosts an existing signal.
It might extend the Starlink a bit. But I am sure there will be a maximum distance that it will not communicate with the wifi at all.

I’m sure it’s possible. Also Tony brings up a good point. You’ll need some service even if it’s just one bar for the booster to work. I’ve got AT&T and I have service most places when my phone is clamped in.

Search Jason Smart had a thread about using a WeBoost Mobile set up. My cousin set one up just like his and works good. He uses a 14,000 mah pack to run it and it works good. I have excellent service at my location so didnt need one.

If by adding a 10’ conduit with antenna is getting your cell camera to work I’m 99% sure weboost will work for you. But like someone else mentioned, your phone has to be touching or within a foot or so to work on the 12volt model. But you absolutely could set up a weboost booster in your stand and run it off a 12 volt battery. We do it all the time on our measurement stations on oil and gas lines. I will also say, you get what you pay for on this. If you really want it to work, get the most powerful and latest one available. I want to say there about $500-$600.

I do this already. I have the older version of the Drive Sleek by WeBoost. I have a small black tool box with a 12volt feeder battery (mounted in it) with a cigarette lighter female connection coming off of it. I keep my antenna, cradle and power wire (w/ cigarette lighter male plug) in the box as well. Light quick and easily carry-able. I use it in my blinds that don't have good signal and especially in my portable turkey bow blinds that we put all over the place during turkey season. Quick to set up and take down. Works like a champ. I also put it in my truck to use to check my Covert cameras with booster antennas at bad cell signal areas for my phone ...like when I have to reset or upload firmware and restart them.

I need to see if its here at the house or still at my lease cabin and I can take some pictures..

Is your personal phone ATT as well? If you get service from any other provider at you property, get your personal phone service through them and then connect your work phone to your personal phone with a mobile hotspot.
