I'm no expert but I think the Big Red is to prevent deer from touching it. I don't think they will touch a carbonated drink.

When I was a kid our taxidermist had a pet javelina, it LOVED Big Red. He showed us one day where he filled a bunch of bowls with different sodas and beers and then let the javi in the shop, it came in and sniffed around til it found the Big Red and drank it down, then laid down by his chair and took a nap.

CoonHoods would cost me about 5K, not interested in timed protein, 22 projectiles and other means will have to work. I do not mind a few coons but it has exceeded that by quite a bit.

Dog proof traps work, but nothing works quicker than golden malrin. Seems like the coon population can keep up with traps, it can’t keep up with golden malrin. If you have a serious coin problem as it’s not a home the traps will take up to much time to run at the lease.

I've used the dukes with great success. I also run the fly bait in a heavy spill proof dogbowl. I put the bowl inside of a wooden box to keep other animals off of it. Just has one side accessible.
On occasion a possum will get into it but it also keep the rain out of the bowl.

Golden Malrin fly bait and Big Red mix in aluminum pie plates will get rid of all the Flies around your feeders quickly.

I think the formula in GM has been tweaked as it was killing to many flies as it used too.
