      Nope—don’t drink milk at all.

Smell test. If bad it goes down the sink. It's good for the septic system.

Interesting how most food products don’t have an expiration date but a “best if used by” date, but folks treat it like it is an expiration date.

I could not tell you the last time I drank milk. Unless it is ice cream or cheese. I do not consume milk. Lol

Not so, RR will post another doozy soon, you can bet on it.

To answer his?, I have drunk milk 2 weeks past the expiration date as long as it smelled good.

As long as it passes the smell test I’ll still drink it

I generally drink directly from the expired milk carton in front of my wife just to **** her off.

It doesn't come up any more, however. My wife switched to 'organic' milk and for some unknown-to-me reason, the expiration date is often 6-8 weeks from when we purchase it. How can milk with nothing added (i.e., preservatives, etc.) last so long when 'regular' store-bought milk has an expiration date a week to 10 days away?!?!
Anyway, I drink a gallon per week and the expiration date is never an issue any more.
I know how they make it last so long...they take all the flavor out.

This is like my Dad's take on sour cream being past the date....

"What's it gonna do, go sour?"

A buddy of mine used to work for Brookshires warehouse back in the day, he said the milk when received at the warehouse had expiration dates 3+weeks out, but they waited until it was only 10days out to put it on shelves. They are banking on you tossing it and buying more.
