    Re-covering Polaris Ranger seats question

Has anyone ever covered their UTV seats with a camo cordura but left the original vinyl covering on the seat and just went over the top of it? I am just curious if the double layer would cause a mildew issue? My seat covers are in good shape now but just wanted to camo them.

I covered my vinyl seat with camo cordura last year because the dog is always riding in the seat. After the material stretched out I pulled a section out and restretched the fabric and did not notice any mildew on the vinyl or fabric. My dog is alway in the tanks when I'm fishing, so the seats get pretty wet. Seat still looks new under the fabric. Hardest part for me was finding a piece of material long enough to cover the seat, found some on ebay from seller, allendercoinc. It was $12.99 for a 36x69 piece of material.

Did the same. Cordura over vinyl. No issues with it

We used some cheap cordura truck seat covers and cut them down to cover. Stretched it over and stapled it to the bottom of the seat, worked great and no issues.

I have Carhartt covering mine due to dog claws. Works great.

I did this about a year ago with no issues so far.
