Meater plus thermometer is $70 on Amazon. Hoping it has longer range than my weber igrill model.

I am a fan of mine. Good little unit for prime rib and briskets. -
I really liked it when I had one. But did not like the emails and notifications after whatever I was cooking was done.
It will have a really long range, because it is Cloud based connectivity. You can be at the grocery store and be able to check on it.

If it is the single probe, you will need a spare device, extra phone or tablet to connect it to the cloud service.
after my 1st probe failed, I broke down and got a MEATER block which has 4 probes and wifi connectivity built in. I still occasionally has an issue due to the thick insulated wall and steel of my smoker.Comment
