Who are the companies that you got quotes from?

We used Window Nation last year. Went with their top of the line window. Had 9 windows replaced and it was around $11,000.

Keep in mind that people who shop at Wal Mart are giving you window advice on here.

I went to a local Roofing supplier in Houston. I believe it was ABC. I bought 18 windows, measured everything myself and installed them. Cost me around 10K. I’m not a contractor or carpenter. Home owner DIY guy. The worst part was second story. Rented scaffolding and took weeks vacation finished in 4 days. Hardest part was demoing the old ones out of the brick.

Neighbor's next door have been getting quote's also. The quote's they have been getting are in line with what I've had. They said they're out too. It's just stupid.

I used Window World for mine 11 years ago. 9 windows and $3600. Windows are vinyl frame double glazed double hung and not a single one has ever leaked. They were in and out in half a day.

I'm contemplating getting windows but I'm just not sold on vinyl. Maybe, just maybe if you have shade all around the house, but not for windows getting beat to heck with 105 heat. The price is just too high for me to gamble. I have had multiple guys and gals come by and pitch and none have access to aluminum windows. I know aluminum works as mine have been in since 1988 and not a problem
