I’m in the throw em back cause I don’t like eating them either camp, but about all I eat from freshwater is crappie so I’m spoiled! Sure fun to catch them though!

I've always just cooked them in a cast iron skillet over an open fire with butter and Tony's Chachere's creole seasoning on them. They have been delicious every time.

A buddy of mine use to buy em at Costco and smoke them. They were good that way.
