I am currently looking for an affordable hunting lease since i have limited access to hunting opportunities. does anyone know of any looking to the west of houston as much as possible any helps would greatly be appreciated.

There’s a lot of good people on this site who can help you but you will need to give them the specifics in order to get help. If you’re asking for “good deer hunting” there’s a lot of different factors and budgets that define good. Cheap will get you cheap. And that could equal bird watching all season. Just trying to help.

Close and cheap can be an option, but you’ll probably have to give up west. We have a 350 acre lease in East Texas that costs us a little over $500 each. It’s about 30 minutes from my home to being in my stand. Others are as close or closer. Thing about it is, it’s hard to find one like this. I got on because my closest friend was on it. He got on because his son was on it and his friend since elementary school inherited it from his grandad. The landowners are loyal to their hunters, they never let anyone run under the current hunters. You don’t find much of that ! Good luck !

as far as distance goes im not to concerned but deer for sure and im sure on most there are hog especially in east texas. i would like to find one around 1000 or so a year and if its close i could be there often for maintaining everything. but trying to get pointed in the right direction and still learning what the right questions to ask
