    Sabine Lake Fishing Guide

Looking at fishing Sabine Lake in the fall for reds- hoping to be able to target some bull reds. Anyone have recommendations for a guide/guide service?

What makes you say that? Better fishing on that side?

I’m guessing crappie fishing is gonna be the goto for a little while at least.

One side of the bridge has a much more restricted limit.

The red fish should be great in the fall. Specks will probably be hot if this rain tapers off to semi-normal levels.

Launch on the Louisiana side of the causeway bridge and two people fishing can keep up to 30 specks (15 per person) with a minimum of 13”. Launch on the Texas side and it’s 6 total specks (3 each) that have to be at least 15”.

                        Red fish limits are similar.

It’s the same fish on the same body of water but if you are going to pay for a guide, I would rather the option to possibly keeping 30 fish to take home as opposed to 6. It might be the best 3/4 of a mile drive ever. 😎

In Louisiana you can keep 5 reds at 16 inches instead of 3 at 20, and 10 flounder any size Vs 5 at 15 inches. Not to mention 5x as many trout
