    KJO Questions?

I am trying to plan trip to KJO possibly in march for exotics probably axis or fallow. Has any one been recently? Was wondering if any axis deer still have there horns or if would be better to plan trip for later in the summer.

    Thanks,
    Brent

When I was there in late November, Keith said that the Axis would be losing their horns "pretty soon". I took that to mean sometime in December/ early January. He said they start regrowing them, pretty soon after dropping them, and they should be back in hard antlers by sometime in April.

I go every year in early May. Most stuff is hard horned that Ive seen except Red deer. Good time to hunt warm but not to hot. Definately go you will have a good time and something cool will walk out in front of you.
I got the ram in my avatar there last year missed a nice auodad the night beffore.

You are going to want to go in the summer months for hard horns.
