soffit suggestion

Gotta replace soffit on front of garage, ive seen ones you can order from Home Depot, kinda hesitant about that. Any other materials or suggestion, only need about two pieces about 12’x2 1/2 ‘

Following. I like the idea of the Hardee type, but skeptical of the weight over time. Also, that stuff is a pain to cut and handle.

I really like the LP Smartside stuff, but it is near impossible to find.

Ive had Hardi as soffit on my last 2 houses and installed it on several others.Nail it up with finishing nails and caulk it good and it wont come down. But,a piece of plywood painted,caulked and nailed should last nearly forever.

Had my house re-done in Hardi siding and this included the vented soffits. Been almost 10 yrs and doin great. Hardi holds paint real good too.
