    Barndo builders in Houston area?

Does anybody have any recommendations for a Barndo builder near Houston. Also looking for ideas/floor plans for a 40x60 or so. We are wanting a Barndo with a shop but also a small living quarters 1 bed/1bath probably. Also if anybody has had one built recently what kind of pricing is expected?

I’m in the market for something in the Houston area but everything I’ve went and looked at in South Conroe/Porter area looks like methville or little Mexico.

These are the raw land properties I’ve looked at so far. I do like Benders Landing and River Walk in Porter.

Everything I like is in Montgomery, Magnolia or on lake Conroe.

I’m new to the area and I spent the day in Plum Grove on Friday doing sales calls. I’m not sure what’s been going on in Texas but dang that was a **** show.

Please don't take this as slander it is just the facts from our point of view. Pictures and emails are our proof of everything written or discussed.

Stay away from the one on FM1097 West located on the South side of the road just prior to a bridge in Willis. We have experience with these people. Between him and his ex-partner it's a bad situation that got worse with time. His ex-partner is a tool for sure.

It started in the beginning when the electrician put the underground in wrong. This part kills me as its just to funny. Pouring concrete while they are trying to get it in.
The welder must have just started welding the day before he got to the USA, and we have visible welds that can back this statement up.
Oh, you wanted moisture barrier...uh you don't need that, and we don't use it because its overrated, do it anyway!
Oh, you want the exterior columns painted...that's extra...Paint them!
Oh, you want 12 AWG wiring that's extra...then why does the electrical plans call for it...rip out the14awg now before the sheetrock goes up. Nope we are not doing that. Did it in the end.
Why can't we stain your concrete? Well, the electrician hasn't replaced the wiring, and the plumber is coming back as is the carpenter and painter. We (builder) lost several thousand on this one and our floors are darker but there done.
They even told me that I didn't have the right to hire an independent home inspector and a Master electrician. Told the Master that they were going to sue him for stepping foot on the property without their knowledge. That was funny and didn't end well for them or their buddy the supposably master electrician which turned out to be an electrical contractor working under a master (leased his license). Their electrical contractor was using a masters license, and the master was living in California. The master did send another (verified) Master to correct all issues so that his name would be cleared in the end.
And many many more that I just can't write but have 100% proof in the pictures.

Here was a good one that came in early April, you have to accept the key so that we can get you out of your travel trailer. That didn't work so then came we have lost over 45k on this place. Not our problem as we discussed knowing and meeting the minimum requirements in the very first meeting. Fix the issues and we will except otherwise we are at a stalemate.

We moved in in July after we was advised by our attorney to except some small defects and make the repairs ourselves or prepare to lose more money in court as he would be the only winner in the case.

The last blow came the day we were tying in our new water well to the house. As I was digging with the excavator something told me to stop and use a shovel until I located the feed to the house. Sure enough I found it approximately 12 inches below the ground. WHEW that was a close one. I laugh about it now because I told my wife when they put power to the house, I wonder how deep they buried the incoming conduit as they did it when i was hunting. I knew that I should have checked it when I got home. Lessons learned.

Wait that wasn't to last blow...LOL! The last blow was when we were trying to get a new sewer system installed and the local plumbing inspector told me that I had to move my water well because it was 13 feet from the sewer discharge from the home. Grr...everything would have been fine if the builder would have made the sewer discharge to the front of the home towards the septic tanks instead of the side of the how towards the water well.

I know that this is hard to read but I am hoping that you and anyone else that reads this will take my advice and stay away from this place with your hard-earned money and business.

                        Best of luck!
