The closest I’ve been to that is installing a pacemaker. That ain’t chit compared to opening up your chest. Good luck on your healing, and may you have a complete recovery !

Not that I am going to change me mind about this. It has to be done. But Just wondering.

Doctors can do wonders these days . My daughter in law had heart surgery in her teens. Wouldn’t even know it. Her daughter Natalie, turned 2 in February. She had two heart surgeries before she was one year old. She’s a ball of fire. Yes, it’s scary. Ya gotta believe. He’s there.

My mom had double bypass at 78. It failed six months later. She went on to live 11 more years. My dad had triple A surgery at 80 and lived eight more years. Get prayed up and move forward. You’re still a young man and I think you’ll do fine. That’s my medical prognosis. I’m a millwright/ welder btw. 🤣🤣🤣🤦‍♂️

Had open heart procedure at 2 yrs old (1977) and 11 yrs old (1986). 1st was for hole in heart to basically sew it shut. 2nd procedure was due to scar tissue build up from 1st procedure and had a "flap" in last aorta valve going out that was causing 80-90% blood flow and causing shortness of breath and asthma. I was home 7 days after the 2nd procedure. Took an easy for 2.5-3months then played full season of basketball at school like nothing ever happened. Not gonna lie. The chest is gonna hurt but in short time you'll feel much better than you had before. Do take an easy for a while on strenous activities especially with the hot summer coming up and stay hydrated.
