Ceiling Fans suggestions for Quietest for Living room and Bedroom.

Need to replace the ceiling fans in our living room and master bedroom. Boss lady is wanting quiet and with remotes. Does the green screen have any suggestions? Going to Home Depot on Saturday to see what they got. Our fans stay on 24/7/365 in both rooms on medium or low.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Don’t go to a big box store, find a reputable lighting showroom.

You’re not going to find a primo, high quality ceiling fan at Home Depot. I recommend going to a local lighting fixture shop and letting one of their lighting specialists help you. (They also know ceiling fans.)

A fan that remains quiet—even on the highest setting—is worth its weight in gold. Especially in the bedroom.

We use Harbor Breeze from Lowes. We put them in our houses for many years with our building company and never a complaint. Don't pay for the Hunter Douglas name. We have this one in our living area and it is quiet. The ones in the bedrooms are HD and make a little noise. Got the one in galvanized. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Harbor-Bree...ade/5001418945

I hate to say this but she is correct from my experiences on ceiling fans. 😩 We are in our 4th house with the last two we had built. I finally learned the hard way after the first two homes and a constant I told you so from a 5’2” mean azz wife. 😃

We have Hunters that have been running for twenty-eight years now and still quiet. The one in the living room only gets turned off for cleaning a couple of times a year. We've had no luck at all with Harbor Breeze. I still have about twelve of them running in rent houses. They will be replaced with Hunters when the time comes.

Hard to beat 20 dollar box fans from Walmart. I want noise.

We installed Harbor Breeze and due to noise, we replaced with Hunter and they are very quiet. In fact, let someone turn them on with your back turned and you don't know if they are on or not.. Also warranty is free replacement. Bought at box store.

Hunter all the way. Like others have said go to a specialty store. Ours are 20 plus years and still going strong and quiet.

It’s important to note that Hunter fans sold through mass market retailers (i.e., Home Depot, Lowe’s) are not the same as those sold through smaller, independent retailers.

I get what you’re saying and that’s what I would want at my house.

But there’s something special about that loud ceiling fan my grandma and 87 year old uncle have at their houses that just makes me sleep better.

Not to mention that old grandfather clock ticking in the background.

I have 2 remote controlled fans that are junk. Get manual control...

Hunters have served us well in 3 homes. Saying that, in our recent barndo build I went with Haiku (Big *** residential version) and love them.

Make the 1 hour driver to Coburn's in Tyler, talk to Audra in the showroom. She'll be able to hook you up.

And there are more options than just Hunter as to mfg.‘ers, at same or sometimes better price point.
